Ay. So when you make a public promise that you’ll put out an MP3, it is probably best to check with the people doing your promotion before making that promise. Apparently, there are few ducks that are not in a horizontal line, that is to say, a row, but I hear they will be soon. I am solely to blame for this and you can drop a chorus of “aross, you are a bad man” on my ass.
That being said, I have some other exciting bits:
I’m very excited to announce that Secret Dakota Ring will be playing our first show ever (and the way the schedule looks right now, the last. Just kidding. Kinda. Not really.) exactly three weeks from today in NYC. Here’s the relevant business:

That’s right, $3! Playing with me will be SDR fixture Travis Harrison, Rocketship Park frontman Josh Kaufman, Higgins songsmith Kevin Fish, and Rails to Russia vocalist Eytan Oren. Should be fun.
Also, I’ll share a few details on the Baggage contest. Here’s how it’ll work: you’ll go to a website and signup with your email address. After you signup you’ll be given your own unique link to a webpage that will have the new SDR song for streaming and download. You can take this URL and put it anywhere on the web, blog posts, message boards, comment threads, etc, and the more people that visit your page and listen to the jam, the more points you’ll accrue. Visitors to your page can also signup for the mailing list and click-through to this website and MySpace page, for which you’ll receive additional points. I’m also going to add a subjective extra-credit portion for most creative uses of your URL. The three contestants with the most points will receive their copy of Do Not Leave Baggage All the Way, as well as a fresh copy of Cantarell a few weeks before it comes out, and perhaps a few other trinkets that will be very nice. That’ll be coming soon, I promise.

PS- I have the RNC on in the background and I believe I just heard Mitt Romney bashing east coast elites. Wasn’t he the zillionaire governor of fucking Massachusetts?! Who are these people?
