Show Business
Thanks to all who came out to the show last Wednesday. I had a really fun, if slightly nerve-wracking, time.
I’d also like to publicly send my love to the nice men who played with me, who are all amazing musicians and even better friends. I’d like to share an email from Mr. Business himself, Travis Harrison, that he sent to the band after the show (Background: in any band I’ve ever been in with Travis, he writes up the setlists and always comes with colorful alternative names for most of the songs):
classic moment tonight.
we’d just finished red light i think and i look at eytan asking him which song is next. he has the only set list on the stage and he’s sharing it with Andy.
“Which one’s next M’Kay?”
Eytan looks at the set list puzzled.
“What are we playing now?”
M’Kaytan looks again and says, “What is Shitty Ass Balls?”
I say, “What?”
He says, “Shitty Ass Balls? What is Shitty Ass Balls?”
I say “HA!! I Don’t Wanna Know About My Shitty Ass Balls! City! City!! HA! HA!”
We totally kicked ass pants.
This is why you put Travis Harrison in your band. The drumming’s pretty good, too.
Now that the SDR battle station is operational, we’ll see about playing some more (longer) shows in the future. Stay tuned right here.

Hahaha! Shitty Ass Balls! Rachel shared that bit of info with us on the boards. Still makes me giggle.
I’m soo glad the show went well, Andy!! Hope you play some college shows next time.
And I’m waiting for info on the contest… and the video… *AHEM* =]

I’m rather amused at the thought that somebody who is capable of jumping around in treadmills to an eccentric musical choreography in front of nearly half the population of the planet would consider playing a small venue nerve-wrecking…
Anyhow, hey, it’s great that everything went alright with the show and it’s even better to know this won’t be the last. I’ll stay tuned.

Haha, Rosa, you are so right!

Haha, I’m with Rosa!
And I’ve seen the videos - it looked like a fantastic show, congrats Andy! Looking forward to future shows

Perhaps nerve wracking because it’s his first show where he’s the main focus instead of Damian? Of course when I saw OK GO in Winnipeg, I know where my focus was… on Tim! Nah, just kidding. Although I’m sure he’s awesome.

The show was truly fantastic and I hope I get to attend another. I’ve been making all my friends watch the videos. Thanks for playing a show, Andy.

Like Rachel said, thanks for playing a show. You and the guys rocked! It was pretty nifty to hear SDR songs live not to mention see Travis drum. Think the Midwest would be in line to have a show?
And ya know, I’m really not liking Manny Ramirez. He’s totally killing my Cubs. Now this is nerve wracking. I wish the Cubbies would freaking bring it already.
Oh yeah, I meant to say I’m sorry about #10. #9 is a good song, but #10, well, I just had to.
