A few of quick updates:
- This last weekend I shot a video for “The Fade to Black” which is going to be straight-up the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen. And just to be clear this adorableness has nothing to do with me: my level of adorableness is small and fixed, while the level of adorable we’re talking about is expanding and exponential. You’ll see what I mean soon enough. My good friend Eric Lane, whose past films have been featured at numerous festivals, directed the video.
- I’m gonna be putting up an MP3 from Cantarell next week.
- I’m gonna be announcing the Do Not Leave Baggage All the Way contest next week.
- The previous two items are related.
- The following is a picture I took of a menu item at the Beck-immortalized Zankou Chicken:

- Yes, the departure of Manny Ramirez, easily my favorite personality in all of baseball, from the Red Sox saddens me. This Onion article, does not.
- I plan on blogging more and regularly in the weeks ahead. Hold me to this. Complain if I don’t. I need your harassment. I do.
So yeah, stay tuned next week. Oh, also, I have one more question for you all: which social sharing networks do you actually use (ie, del.icio.us, digg, reddit, Facebook share)? I feel like there are so many now, and I have circa-2005 understanding about which ones are popular. Fire some suggestions in the comments.

Yeah, I thought of you as soon as I heard about the Manny trade. Sorry about that. The craziest thing about it is that he’s with Joe Torre and Don Mattingly now!
Anyway, I use Myspace and Facebook most of all. I don’t really use the other ones you mentioned, although I might look into Twittering sometime soon - a bunch of my friends are.
Can’t wait to see the new video!

Myspace, but I guess I’d use Facebook a lot too, once I got to actually registering for that one…

Yep I’d say facebook too, it’s prob the only one that I regularly log onto nowadays. Since you’re such a geek I wonder if you’ve actually check out the xkcd comics online? Maybe the geekiness AND math fix would make you a little happier. xx

i use delicious constantly for my own personal bookmark stuff– it makes a feed you can subscribe to, and it integrates well into an existing blog. although maybe more people would see a link if you facebook shared it.

It seems like Digg and delicious are used the most. Technorati seems to be somewhat popular as well. I see some StumbleUpon links, too. Facebook is still a reigning social networking site, but not so much for the sharing. Unless I just have lame friends who don’t want to share anything.

I use StumbleUpon. I thumbs-upped one of your pages, but I have no idea if it’s gotten you any traffic or not. (Because the StumbleUpon algorithm is like a hipster — rewarding you for liking things no one else has ever heard of, and unfortunately I may have clicked “I like it!” on a few too many lolcat pages.)

Thank you all for your help! This is awesome. jpb, those t-shirts look amazing! It definitely seems like Facebook (good) and Myspace (bad - they don’t really have any social sharing tools or an API) are the big winners, which is to be expected.
fc, thanks for the heads up on FF2, though, you should get FF3, because, that’s why they made it, right?
Well said Becky, though I’m fairly confident that hell is safe from the effects of global warming as long as a certain New England team is in the mix. That “B” is definitely for Boston.

I guess we’ll just have to wait till October to find out who’s the better team. You should give a listen to “Go Cubs Go” by Steve Goodman, it’s pretty catchy. And hey, isn’t Cantarell rumored to be released right around then?
Since you asked your readers to bug you relentlessly (not your words exactly), I must point out the date. Today is September 2nd. You’re clearly deeply entrenched in baseball and being famous and haven’t been able to sit at your compy/lappy to blog or post that MP3. I for one would really like to hear that MP3, find out about the contest and read whatever it is you’re wanting to blog about.
