My Life Is Validated

Have you seen There Will Be Blood yet? If you said “no”, get off your tush, call Moviefone and see it. It’s amazing.

Today, I was reading an LA Weekly article about P.T. Anderson’s process for writing the movie, and this jumped out at me:

Or it could be, Anderson concedes, that he was simply watching too much baseball. “There was a while there where I was sort of pacing my days out just to get to the East Coast game, getting to 4 o’clock,” he says, noting his enthusiasm for the Dodgers as well as the Boston Red Sox — the hometown team of his late father, television personality Ernie Anderson. “It’s very easy to do.”

What a revelation! I’m not the only person in LA that plans their existence around a four o’clock baseball game! And the other one’s an amazing cinematic genius! That must mean I’m a genius! Genius-time!

It absolutely IS Genius Time!!!!! Why did no one say so before?? While I’ll never approach that Circle o’Genius, I am trying to raise my baseball IQ - reading “Watching Baseball Smarter” by Zack Hample. Entertaining AND informative.

Hey, Andy. I just wanted to thank you for answering all of my inane questions at the DC show last weekend. Not to mention the refresher on Spanish grammar. Kinda hard to believe I had honors Spanish in high school, then again, that was a while ago.

So, yeah, thanks for taking the time to talk to me and everyone else at the Meet & Greet. I hope you liked the Donkey Pez Dispenser.
